Two new members have been named to the National
Committee for the New River (NCNR).
Craig Teller of Hillsville, Virginia and
Henry H. Doss of Todd will each serve a three-year term on the 13-member board.
The Committee is a non-profit organization that operates in the New River
watershed in North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. NCNR works to protect
land important to the New River’s health and advocates for the river’s future
through its communities. The organization also conducts monitoring, restoration
and cleanup projects for the operating area. Utilizing over 800 volunteers, the
committee has removed over 46,260 tons of trash from the river. More
