|Monday, 30 July 2007 20:49|
Final approval was given yesterday to a $20.7 billion
state budget- the most expensive legislation of the year.
The budget will help county governments by providing new tax options and Medicaid relief. Initial approval was given Saturday, and yesterday, by a vote 64-52 margin, final approval was made in the House. A Senate vote of 31-19 followed- and Governor Mike Easley is expected to sign the bill today.
