Kraut Creek body: No foul play PDF Print
Sunday, 29 July 2007 20:00

Boone Police Department is not calling its inquiry into a body found in Kraut Creek on Friday a criminal investigation.

The man, identified on Friday as 58-year-old Steven Randall Grubb of Todd, drowned according to an autopsy report. Preliminary findings indicate alcohol was a factor. An autopsy failed to reveal signs of trauma or foul play. At this time, police are calling it an “accidental drowning.” With the past week's heavy rains, the creek was deeper than usual. There's still no word on how long the body was in the creek- or the specific circumstances of Grubb's death.
