Harry Potter and the Deathly Crowds PDF Print
Written by Lauren Ohnesorge

Black Bear Books in Boone was the place to be midnight Friday. Just ask the muggles and wizards- it was a full house for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Those without preorders were out of luck- and not just at Black Bear. According to manager Schott Wheeler- all local bookstores had something in common.

They were either sold-out or didn't get the book in time for the release, he said.

Wizards gathered anyway, sharing their theories on what would happen in Book 7.

At seven a.m., Waldenbooks got in on the magic. Andrea Scott was able to walk away with her pre-ordered copy- something she’s been waiting to do for years, since fourth grade, to be precise. Soon after seven, she headed home, book in tow, for a long day of reading.

Not all was lost to those who didn’t preorder- Walmart opened at 7 a.m. in Boone Saturday, accompanied by crates of Hallows. In fact, as of yesterday- there were several copies still available.

Comment from the News Director: Please refrain from posting spoilers. They will be deleted. Let's let everyone read the book and find out what happens for themeselves, please.
