10:41 a.m. - After October’s massive rockslide, the DOT reopened Interstate 40 just west of Asheville yesterday evening.
Officials said two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane were opened at 6:00 p.m. yesterday, but trucks carrying loads 12 feet wide or more will be restricted from the single westbound lane and must take a detour while work continues in the area.
