12:12 p.m. - A statewide Amber Alert was issued around noon today for a missing 5-year-old girl from Fort Bragg.

Te’amani LeSha Gerald was taken from the front yard of her residence on Lapoterie Street in the Nijmegen Housing Area on post about 8:15 a.m.

The 5-year-old is about three feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds.  She has two braids in her hair.  She was wearing a pink Dora the Explorer coat, blue jeans and a black shirt.

The Amber Alert stated she could be with her non-custodial mother on their way to Charleston, S.C.  They are believed to be in a 1999 black Chevrolet Suburban with a South Carolina tag that reads FVC-504.

If you spot the girl or this vehicle or the missing girl, call 911 immediately.
