52nd annual Grandfather Mountain Highland Games may have concluded
on Sunday, but the spirit of Scotland still lives here in the High Country.

to watch and participate in the Scottish Highland Games. The High Country was
well represented in the endurance races that took place at the games as well.
the High Country won gold in all but three of the races with others taking no
lower than silver. A representative of the High Country won the triathlon, a
combination of times from all three races, also.

attendance by clans and patrons, said Franklin Wyatt III of Clan MacLeod, but
because those who came to the games were there to learn about Scottish culture,
and their own heritages as well.
