Deliberations continue when the murder trial of Caldwell County’s Jerry Anderson continues today in Gaston County.
Anderson is charged with the first-degree murder of his wife, Emily, who disappeared December 29, 2005. Her body was found in a toolbox in the trunk of her car. The trial started May 14- and if Anderson is convicted, sentencing is the next step. Anderson could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole if convicted. First-degree murder or not guilty are the only verdicts the jury is considering.
