Winter Storm Watch Issued for High Country Beginning Thursday Night PDF Print

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Watch for the High Country that will run from late Thursday night through Saturday afternoon.

 

According to the NWS, snow will begin falling Friday morning then change to sleet and freezing rain during the day before changing back to snow late Friday night.

The timing and type of precipitation with this storm is still uncertain, but officials are predicting more than a quarter inch of ice and up to six inches of snow and sleet.
