The Salvation Army Family Store on Highway 105 South in Boone is giving away free coats to anyone who is in need or a warmer coat.

According to the production supervisor with the Salvation Army, Glenda Canipe, the store will be offering free coats for several more days.  Canipe said Salvation Army employees are telling customers when they come into the store that they are welcome to help themselves to a free coat.

Canipe explained that the Salvation Army is able to offer these free coats because they have received several recent coat donations.
