The Boone Town Council announced Monday that they will begin meeting twice per month.

According to town officials, the council will meet every third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., but will reconvene, if necessary, on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

The closed sessions of the meetings will be held on the Tuesday meetings following the regularly scheduled meeting.

The Boone Town Council meetings will continue to be held at the Town Council Chambers at 1500 Blowing Rock Road.

Anyone wishing to appear on the Town Council meeting agenda should contact Town Clerk Frieda Van Allen before the agenda deadline, which is 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, one week before the meeting.
