Power Restoration Efforts Continue PDF Print

Around 46,000 still without power in western North Carolina.



More than 400 line technicians from North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky continue to work on restoring power Sunday. According to Progress Engery's Outage Map at noon, Buncombe County (Asheville and surronding area) still remains the largest outage, with over 36,700 customers still in the dark. Haywood County still has over 7,600 with out power.

Madison - 559
Jackson - 63
Henderson - 74

At one point more than 67,000 Progress Engery customers were without power, that number fell to 57,000 in the Saturday 5pm update. It will still be Monday or Tuesday before everyone is back online.
