Skiers, Christmas shoppers, hikers, anyone who needs to travel--today is your day.  Tonight...probably not.  The second ice storm this week is expected by tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the area, calling for a mix of sleet, freezing rain, and snow to move in tonight from the south, bringing an ice storm with it.  The NWS is forecasting a quarter-inch of ice during the evening tonight, changing to rain and freezing rain after midnight.  The only good news in the forecast is that temperatures will eventually rise into the 40's during Sunday and by Monday, highs should be back into the 50's with sunshine--just in time for the work week.

Ski slope operators had a great week to get their season underway with the very cold temperatures, and today should be a great day on area slopes.  Tomorrow's main concern will be travel for those who would try to get in more skiing--or anything else, for that matter.  Stay tuned to your favorite High Country Radio station and check back with for the latest--and send your reports and pictures to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
