Popular Pop-Punk Bands Coming to Boone PDF Print

Popular pop-punk bands, Taking Back Sunday, Anberlin, and the All-American Rejects will perform at App State’s Holmes Convocation Center on November 19.


Taking Back Sunday has had three albums classified as gold.

The All-American Rejects had four songs crack the top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, while their 2005 album, “Move Along,” was certified as double platinum.

Christian punk band, Anberlin, will be opening the show.  Anberlin appears regularly in Christian music festivals and their songs are also often included on Christian rock compilation albums.

Linda Coutant of ASU News said Beech Mountain and App State have also partnered to offer half-price ski lift tickets on November 21 with a ticket stub from the concert.

Tickets range from $25 to $35 for general public and $20 to $25 for ASU Students, depending on seat location.  Tickets can be purchased online at

The show will be held on Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Holmes Convocation Center.
