Town of Boone Names New Police Chief PDF Print

dana27s20pic.jpgThe Town of Boone has named its new Chief of Police.


According to Town officials, Dana Bruce Crawford will serve as the Boone Police Department’s Chief of Police.

Crawford has 20 years of law enforcement experience as he has served as an investigator and a deputy sheriff before serving as the Assistant Chief of Police for the Beech Mountain Police Department for the past 18 years.

Crawford earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in criminal justice from Lees-McCrae College in Banner Elk.  Town Officials also said he is a member of several professional law enforcement affiliations in North Carolina.

Crawford will officially begin serving as Boone’s Chief of Police next Monday, October 12.
