The scoring got underway with Devan Corum connecting to Travis Oliver in four plays to give WHS a 6-0 lead in the opening quarter. The first two-point conversion of the night was no good. With 4:06 until halftime, Watauga's 4 yard run by Logan Smith put the Pioneers back on top 12-7. That capped a 10 play 61 yard drive. Watauga tacked on the two point conversion and lead 14-7.

At the 4:11 mark in the 3rd quarter the Pioneer defense came up with the big play in the form of a blocked punt that was recovered in the West Stokes end zone. That play extended the lead to 22-7 after the two point conversion.

The final score of the night belonged to the Pioneers with a 9 yard touchdown run by Logan Smith to start the final quarter. Two point conversion failed and Watauga capped off their road stand with a 28-7 victory.
