jilly.jpgAfter being missing for 25 days, Jilly, a shorthaired collie, was found by her owners last week.

Linda Plaster and Carol Fant, Jilly’s owners, contacted High Country Radio’s Pet Patrol Director, Cindy Cafaro, on August 6 to post a lost dog item on  After 25 days of searching, Plaster found Jilly alive in a ravine on Powder Horn Mountain on September 1.

Plaster and Fant immediately took Jilly to Animal Emergency Clinic of Boone where she was treated for severe dehydration and deep hip wounds.

The two also own a three-legged collie named Peanut, who has been Jilly’s best friend for years.  Plaster said Peanut was ecstatic to see his friend back home.

Jilly has been home now for about a week and was feeling good enough to go for a ride to pay a quick visit to High Country Radio today.

More pictures of Jilly are posted on GBR’s Pet Patrol page.  Also keep your eye on our UNEWZ section because Jilly’s owners are expected to post their own story about Jilly’s return.
