A 22-year-old man from Catawba County was arrested and charged with a felony count of possession of counterfeit money.

Our Foothills Bureau reports Miguel Almanza-Soria, of Claremont, was pulled over on Sunday after authorities believed he did not have a driver’s license.  Investigators found more than $1,800 in counterfeit money on the man.

Almanza-Soria also faces misdemeanor drug charges and was charged for driving without a driver’s license.
