|Authorities Arrest Four on Drug Charges|

The Boone Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested four suspects on cocaine charges.
According to a sergeant at the Boone Police Department, 29-year-old Shannon Michael Greene, of Boone, faces selling and delivering cocaine charges as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Greene was given a $32,000 bond.
26-year-old Pedro Gandara, of Miami, Florida, was charged with trafficking cocaine by possession, conspiracy to sell cocaine, and possession of marijuana. Gandara was given a $50,000 secured bond.
42-year-old Billy Corwin Pearson, of Boone, faces a felony possession of cocaine charge and was given a $6,000 bond.
48-year-old Samuel Craig Horton, of Boone, also faces a felony possession of cocaine charge and was given a $6,000 bond.
All four suspects will appear in court on August 28.
The Boone Police said about 10 ounces of powder cocaine were seized during the investigation and that further charges are forthcoming.
