Free Fishing Day Returns on July 4th PDF Print
Written by Adam Hicks

All residents will be able to fish in North Carolina public waters without a fishing permit for free on July 4th.

WXII reports North Carolina lawmakers began holding free fishing days 15 years ago to help encourage more people to go fishing.

Last year, it was also free for residents to fish on July 4th.

A list of where residents can fish for free can be found on the North Carolina Wild Life Resources Commission’s website, www.NCWildLife.org.
