|Relay for Life comes to Watauga High School|

Watauga High School will host a Relay for Life event this weekend. Team tents will be set up at 2:00 p.m. Friday and the event will last until Saturday morning at 9:00. Local food vendors and entertainers will be present and teams will host an array of activities and fundraisers at their tents.
Sharon Trivette, who is helping organize the event, said Raffles, a dunking booth, face painting and cookie decorating will be among the festivities taking place Friday. Several of the items teams will sell include quilts, wooden roses, jewelry, and baked goods.
The opening ceremony will then begin at 7:00. A lap for survivors and parade of teams will shortly follow. A Luminaria Ceremony and late night movie will conclude the night’s events. Teams will camp out and are allowed to walk until the next morning.
