blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross of Watauga County at the
Agricultural Conference Center produced 64 pints of blood according to a
statement released yesterday.
6 first-time donors contributed to the ongoing
pursuit to save lives. To meet the needs of patients, including those with
blood disorders, accident victims and cancer patients, the American Red Cross
must collect 1,600 blood donations each day. The American Red Cross would like
to extend its sincere thanks to all the participants, supporters and volunteers
at this recent drive.

Earth Fare in Boone is sponsoring a Blood Drive from noon until 4:30 p.m. All
blood donors will be entered in a drawing gas gift cards.
Just a reminder- to donate blood, you must be 17
years-old, weigh minimum of 110 lbs, and be in general good health. For more
