Two men died Monday afternoon when a single-engine plane went down near Brevard.

The Associated Press reports the pilot was maneuvering to land in overcast weather when the plane crashed near a horse pasture.

The victims’ names have not been released, but the A.P. reports they were residents of Transylvania County.

The plane wasn’t commercially made and was classified as experimental.
