|Sparta Fire Destroys Ambulances and Damages EMS Building|

A Friday evening fire destroyed two ambulances and damaged the Alleghany County Emergency Medical Services building.
According to the Winston-Salem Journal, no one was injured in the blaze, but officials estimate the fire caused about $350,000 in damage.
The Journal reports the fire started around 6:00 Friday evening and Sparta firefighters responded to the scene within three minutes.
Officials believe the fire was electrical in nature and don’t suspect human error.
