|Perdue to Sign Grandfather Mountain State Park Bill|

Governor Bev Perdue will sign Senate Bill 89 today, which will officially authorize the creation of Grandfather Mountain State Park.
Perdue will sign the bill at the Old House Chamber in the State Capitol Building at 2:45 p.m. this afternoon.
The governor will be joined by several state legislators and other state officials, as well as members of the Morton family.
The legislation will add a portion of Grandfather Mountain to the state parks system.
