Drivers will see more state troopers along the state’s major four lane highways and interstates for the next two weeks.

Captain Everett Clendenin of the North Carolina Highway Patrol announced the beginning of the force’s latest push to slow down drivers, “No Need 2 Speed.”

Clendenin said the latest installment of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program began today and will run until April 12.

Troopers will be using motorcycles, Dodge Chargers, and unmarked patrol vehicles for this campaign.
