Man Faces Assault Charges After Firing Shots at Johnson City Night Club PDF Print

A drunken argument escalates to gunshots, causing Johnson City authorities to arrest a man for assault charges.


According to, Johnson City Police arrested Cody J. Smith on aggravated assault charges and possession of a handgun while under the influence.


TriCities reports Smith reportedly pointed a gun at several people and fired two shots in the air after an argument in the Visions nightclub parking lot.


Smith told officers he had been drinking earlier that night.
