Johnson City Man Charged with Murder, Authorities Looking for Second Suspect PDF Print

A Johnson City man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a James Lewis, of Telford, after he reportedly assaulted Lewis at a nightclub early Sunday morning.


According to, 19-year-old Bradley Ashby is believed to have punched Lewis in the parking lot of New Beginnings nightclub.


WCYB reported Lewis died Monday while receiving treatment at the Johnson City Medical Center.


New information has been released indicating that investigators are looking for a couple of other people for questioning, including one suspect.


Authorities said there could be more charges in this case and several people are believed to have been involved in the fight that led to Lewis’ death.


According to investigators, there is no indication that the fight was motivated by anyone’s sexual preference and the incident has not been classified this as a hate crime.
