The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office reported several car wrecks on Highway 105 Thursday evening because of icy patches on the road.

Multiple crashes were reported, but the details and the extent of damage caused are currently unknown.

As reported on the Aisling Broadcasting family of radio stations, the sheriff’s office did ask residents to avoid driving on areas of Highway 105.
