The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for a large portion of High Country until Thursday evening.

Periods of heavy rain are expected with rainfall totals of three to three-and-a-half inches are likely.

This amount of rain would cause flooding along creeks and streams and any thunderstorms would produce very heavy rainfall.
