The Boone Police Explorers will hold an open house event on Monday September 22nd at the Boone Police Department.

This event will have representation from local agencies from Boone, Blowing Rock, ASU, Seven Devils, Watauga County, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.  Officers will be on hand to talk to youth about law enforcement and exploring.  There will also be a static display of agency vehicles including the S.B.I.’s BEARCAT tactical vehicle.

The Boone Police Explorers are open to all young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20 that have an interest in law enforcement as a possible career.   Exploring allows these young men and women an opportunity to learn first hand about the vast majority of responsibilities of law enforcement.

The open house will be held in the front parking lot of the Boone Police Department at 1500 Blowing Rock Road on Monday, September 22nd from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
