The black-shirt defense pitched a shutout, with JU’s only score coming from a punt return, nabbed two interceptions, and collected seven sacks on the afternoon.

Redshirt sophomore Robert Welton rushed for over 160 yards and three touchdowns, while the Mountaineer offense racked up over 480 yards on the ground.

The Mountaineer football team is off next weekend, and will head to Harrisonburg on September 20th to tangle with the James Madison Dukes.

ASU will be back in action at Kidd Brewer Stadium on September 21st against Presbyterian at 7:00 p.m.
