Boone Police say 'Lock your car!' PDF Print

Southern Boone has had a rash of car break-ins, according to Sergeant Jim Wilson.

Approximately two dozen break-ins have occurred since January, according to Wilson, in both Wal-mart and Boone Mall parking lots, as well as on Leola Street and Meadowview Drive. I-pods and other items have been stolen and Boone police say it is likely the incidents are related. Wilson has some advice for High Country residents. Most of the break-ins occurred in unlocked cars. His advice is simple: Lock your car! If you have valuables, keep them out of sight, he said.

No suspects have been determined and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Boone Police at (828) 262-5400
