Usually, tourists traveling for the Fourth of July make a choice between escaping the heat in the mountains or facing the sun at their favorite beach.  This Fourth of July, that latter group may find themselves heading for the hills due to what is, as of this morning, hurricane Arthur, is dumping rain and wind on the coast from Hilton Head to Morehead City, with its path expected to take it close to the Grand Strand late today and actually over the Outer Banks by early tomorrow.  That means literally hundreds of thousands of vacationers may be evacuated or choose to head west to salvage the rest of their vacation week.  So, for us already here, may want to make a little room, step a little to the left at that parade this weekend, and welcome those escaping Arthur to the High Country.
