Ashe Sheriff James Williams announces the arrest of two Caldwell County people on felony drug charges following a month long investigation by the Sheriffs office and the S.B.I. in the Warrensville area of Ashe County. The officers executed a traffic stop on the two known large scale methamphetamine distributors in Ashe and Caldwell Counties. Arrested at the scene were Rocky Sigmon and Christopher Triplett both of Caldwell County. Deputies located 455 grams (approximately 1 pound) of crystal methamphetamine in a black bag that was dropped by Triplett as he attempted to flee from the scene. Both Sigmon and Triplett are still in the custody of the Sheriff. The street value of the meth is between $30,000, to $68,000 depending on how it is sold. Both are under a half million dollar secured bond.
