A man pinned for hours under a felled tree was finally rescued and airlifted late last night in the Sugar Grove area.  The first call came in after dark last night, for first one, then possibly two men were missing in the woods off of Bryant Combs Road, but as Cove Creek Fire/First Responders and Watauga Rescue arrived, they determined that there was one missing man, and he was found trapped under a tree well off the road. The rescuers managed to free the man, said to be about 60 years of age, from under the tree, while calling for WINGS Air Rescue to land at a field behind the old Cove Creek Fire Department, landing there about 11 last night. He was flown to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
