A pedestrian was struck and killed last night on a dark Caldwell County road, but it appears that the driver will not be charged.  Gary Lunsford, 52, of Granite Falls was the pedestrian who was struck and killed walking at the 321A and Bakers Circle intersection around 9:30 last night. The State Highway Patrol said he was in the roadway and was wearing dark clothing at the time he was hit and killed, and due to the circumstances, there will not be charges against the driver.  Investigating troopers say Lunsford another car had just missed Lunsford prior to the collision that claimed his life.
