Last Wednesday, Narcotics Detectives from the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in an investigation involving the sell and delivery of large amounts of Marijuana.  The investigation, which led to a search warrant, was a joint operation between the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and the NC Probation Office. In the search, Detectives and Probation Officers located and seized over 6lbs of Marijuana, pot with an estimated street value of $38,400 ($400 per ounce).  Also seized from the residence was 1oz of Psilocybin Mushrooms, cash, and drug paraphernalia.  
With the drug seizure, Jonathan David Johnson, 29, and 25 year old Ethan Layne Boswell, both of 281 Fox Hill Road, Vilas, were charged with Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling Controlled Substances, Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver the Schedule I Psilocybin Mushrooms, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Johnson and Boswell taken to the Watauga County Detention Facility and set $15,000 secured bonds.  They are scheduled to appear in District Court on July 25, 2014.
