Boone Office Damaged in Monday Fire PDF Print

Fire damaged a Furman Road office Monday afternoon in a blaze quickly extinguished by Boone Fire, an incident still being investigated by Boone Fire.  An office worker at the 232 Furman Road address, the Furman Office Building with a medical practice inside, reported that it appeared that the blinds in the windows were melting, but shortly after Boone Fire made entry, the fire was knocked down, although extensive fire and smoke damage were evident.  Boone Fire was called at 3:16 are was on the scene within two minutes, with the fire called in as controlled five minutes after that. Boone Fire officials say the fire is still under investigation, and that the one room and contents were heavily damaged in the fire, heat, and smoke.
