The owners of a Wilkesboro Business and an employee have been arrested for the sale of drugs and synthetic drugs from their business.  In what Wilkesboro Police call an ongoing investigation, a search warrant was obtained Tuesday for the property of Pipe Dreams, leading to the search at the 102 East Main Street business just after 6pm.  The police report says that search turned up 151 packages of suspected synthetic cannabinoids, 1.5 grams of marijuana and 5 hydrocodone pills along with what the report called a large number of smoking pipes and paraphernalia.  Also taken was $356 in cash.  Wilkesboro Police then arrested the three at the business, the employee on duty, Stewart Arthur Adams, 42, charging him with two drug possession counts, then they arrested the owners, Christopher Keith Staggs, 40, and 36-year old Bonnie Eileen Staggs, charging them with Possession with intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI Drug, Criminal Use of Counterfeit Trademark, Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell a Controlled Substance, and Manufacture or Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia, the Staggs set $15,000 bonds while Adams’ bond was set at $5000. Wilkesboro Police say the synthetic cannabinoids are being sent to the SBI lab for analysis.
