The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released the information about the identity of the person found  dead in Johnson County Monday after a vehicle was found in Watauga Lake. Tennessee Highway Patrol Spokesman Sgt. Bill Miller said yesterday that the Greene County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the car found belonged to 81-year-old Juanita Ramsey of Greene County, and that she had been reported missing the morning her vehicle was discovered under the water. Miller said the incident was investigated by Trooper Robert Wills who reported Ramsey was driving a 2008 Chrysler south on Tenn. Highway 167 when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the Lakeview Drive intersection. He said the car slid through a gravel parking lot and went down a 60-foot embankment and traveled another 75 feet before hitting the water of Watauga Lake. He said the car was found submerged in 11 feet of water. Wills said there appeared to be no alcohol or drugs involved but tests were requested. He said Ramsey was wearing a safety belt.
