Yes, the calendar still says its winter, and Mother Nature is letting us know, with a blast of high winds ushering in much colder weather and the possibility of snow. High wind warnings are in effect for late today, with sustained winds of 30mph and gusts twice that—to 65—as a frontal system is passing. The fast moving cold front crossed from the Great Lakes area early today, and has begun dropping temperatures and is expected to bring some snow.  Predictions for the snow are for only a little accumulation.  Tomorrow’s lows should be in the range of 30 degrees colder than this morning—predicted in the upper teens, with the high tomorrow maybe in the lower 30’s. But spring weather will battle back by the weekend, with temps back into the 50’s, but more cool to cold weather early into the week.
