Linemen with Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation are almost finished with power restoration to the final 12 members affected by this morning's heavy, wet snow that pulled tree limbs onto power lines.A high of 609 members were affected today, primarily in southern Caldwell County and Alexander County. Two-hundred members in Alleghany County were briefly affected this afternoon when a tree fell on a power line. Currently, linemen are finishing restoration efforts for eight members in Wilkes County and four members in Alexander County.

Blue Ridge Electric also sent several of its crews this afternoon to assist sister cooperative EnergyUnited, which still had 29,000 members without power this afternoon as a result of this morning's storm.

While warmer temperatures are predicted this weekend, if Blue Ridge Electric members have outages, they should report them by calling the cooperative's PowerLine at 1-800-448-2383.

Members can visit Blue Ridge Electric's Storm Room for tips and an online outage map at
