Two Catawba County men were arrested by Boone Police Sunday after a reported theft from Lowes Foods at the New Market Center.  While officers were responding, the suspect vehicle was located and stopped near NC Hwy 105 and US Hwy 321.  With the traffic stop, Derrick Weaver, 48, of Newton, was charged with four counts of Misdemeanor Larceny from Lowes Foods—incidents from four separate occasions beginning in November of 2013.  Derrick Weaver was placed under a $2,500 secured bond and was set an April 28th appearance in Watauga District Court. Also charged in the stop, Thomas Edward Weaver, 46, of Hickory, was also arrested and charged with Aiding and Abetting Misdemeanor Larceny for the February 23rd offense.  Thomas Weaver was set a $500 secured bond pending an April 28th appearance in Watauga District Court.
