BREAKING NEWS: Officer involved shooting, Foscoe PDF Print

  Little information has been released on an officer involved shooting that allegedly happened just before 10 p.m. on Hwy 105 near Caseys Gap Rd.

Seven Devils Police responded to a Watauga County Sheriff department's call just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.


At this time we are being told that a Seven Devils Police officer shot a suspect.


The suspect was transported by ambulance to a helicopter landing zone in Foscoe and airlifted for medical attention.


The suspect's medical condition is unknown at this time.


Sheriff Len Hagaman tells us State Bureau Investigations officials are en route, as is routine in all officer involved shootings. 


Officials from both Avery and Watauga Counties are on the scene.
