A woman listed in a silver alert early this morning has been found in Watauga County, that after a caller reported a man and woman walking, suitcase in hand, along US 321 north near the Cove Creek store. Area authorities were notified to be on the lookout for the missing Winston-Salem woman, said to be

heading to the High Country, identified as Brenda Gail Holebrook. The 41-year old woman was reported missing late yesterday, the silver alert issued early this morning, saying the Lansing Drive, Winston-Salem woman was suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.  With initial reports indicating that she might be headed to a Banner Elk address, Avery authorities checked several locations supplied by Winston-Salem authorities, looking at addresses where a man lived that she might have traveled to see, but those addresses turned out to be places the man left at least a year ago.  Checking the two on US 321, the Watauga Deputy found that the man was wanted, the woman the subject of the silver alert—and also with arrest warrants, and he took both into custody.
