ASU Student Death Still Under Investigation PDF Print

Boone Police are awaiting toxicology results in their investigation into the death of an Appalachian State University senior was found dead last weekend.  Taylor David Pavlick, 21, was found dead in his King Street apartment on Sunday evening around 6 when a roommate returned. Boone Police Capt. Andy Le Beau said Wednesday that there were no obvious injuries or other indications of a homicide or suicide but raises the possibility of drug or alcohol. Pavlick was a senior psychology major at ASU and a dean's list and National Honor Society member. He graduated from Mooresville High School in North Carolina in 2010. His funeral is scheduled for today in Mooresville.
The Office of Student Development placed a memorial book for Pavlick's family in the Plemmons Student Union.
