A shoplifter was arrested after being caught stealing from a store that she had been banned from. According to the Wilkesboro Police Department, Regina Coffee Pierce, 48, of Wilkesboro

entered the Wal-Mart on Highway 421 in Wilkesboro on Monday, Dec. 23 just before 7 a.m. An employee noticed Pierce attempting to leave the store with several items she had not paid for.

When officers arrived, Pierce had been detained by store officials, and found over $100 in items inside Pierce’s purse. When store officials searched for Pierce on their database, they discovered that Pierce had been banned from the chain of stores after she attempted shoplifting several items at the Wal-Mart in West Jefferson back in 2009. Pierce was arrested and charged with Larceny and Second Degree Trespassing.
