State Board to Hear Elections Board Complaint PDF Print

The State Board of Elections will, once again, have issues from the Watauga Board of Elections on their agenda this month.  There are no details from the December 20th agenda item, one of two listed under “Complaints against County Board Members,” but it comes after a tumultuous fall of local board meetings making national news, and under the cloud of an unspecified complaint sent in a letter to Watauga Elections Director Jane Ann Hodges by board chair Luke Eggers. An earlier complaint filed in October by Democrats Stella Anderson, Ian O'Keefe and Jesse Presnell asked for chairman Eggers and Bill Aceto, the secretary, be removed from their posts.
