Wastewater Spill in Banner Elk PDF Print

The town of Banner Elk is currently dealing with a wastewater spill. The spill, which occurred on Nov. 25, dumped approximately 3,500 gallons of wastewater

from a manhole located off of Highway 184 and Dobbins Rd. The untreated wastewater entered Little Elk Creek in the Watauga River Basin. The Division of Water Quality was notified of the event on November 27th and is reviewing the matter.
